The Wavell Room is a blog site established to provide a platform for contemporary British Military Thinking.  It is intended to stimulate discussion and deviate from the norms of extant thinking and doctrine, whilst hopefully providing a basis upon which it can inform and advise through the process of evaluating, developing and the use of relevant concepts, doctrine and policy.

The posts and comments on the Wavell Room are not those of the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defence (or any constituent of it).  It will, however, include commentary and evaluation from Serving personnel amongst contributions from academia, strategists and other like minded & appropriately informed individuals.  This blog is peer reviewed.

It is hoped that this blog will be a thriving  discussion hub, which does not fear tackling difficult, contemporary and future issues which face Defence.  The discussions may helpfully contribute to or influence any future decision making and subsequent success.

The views expressed within individual posts and media are those of the author and do not reflect any official position or that of the author’s employees or employer. Concerns regarding content should be addressed to hi@wavellroom.com
